Choose KDE Connect if…
…you use Linux (or Windows) with an Android phone, your devices are usually on the same network, and you want open-source software that does far more than clipboard sync — notifications, media control, remote input, file browsing. It's a great project.
Choose LocalSend if…
…you mainly want to drop files onto a device in the same room, with no account and nothing leaving your network. It's open source, works on every platform and is very easy to use. It doesn't sync your clipboard continuously or keep a history.
Choose Linkeja if…
- Your devices aren't always together — phone on mobile data, laptop at the office. Linkeja works across networks and still goes direct when they share a Wi-Fi.
- You want your clipboard everywhere, automatically, with a history you can pin — not one-off sends.
- You have an iPhone and a Windows PC, a pair with no built-in clipboard. Here's how it works.
- You're on a computer where you can't install anything — Linkeja runs in the browser. Send files from a work or lab PC.
- Privacy matters: everything is end-to-end encrypted and only your approved devices hold the key. See exactly how.
One honest trade-off: Linkeja isn't open source. To make up for that, we publish exactly how the encryption works on How Linkeja protects your data.
Coming from Pushbullet?
If you used Pushbullet mainly to share your clipboard and send files between your phone and computer, Linkeja covers both for free. See Linkeja as a Pushbullet alternative.
